Hi I recently saw this white bugs on my baby monstera. Are these good or bad bugs? 😭

    I think they look like thrips 😵‍💫 I could be wrong… is the plant outside? Any damage? What color are they?

      The plants are indoor. I took them all outside and did a “sexy plant juice” spray down. I have a better picture for reference

      Ah it’s hard to say. Are they on any other leaves? I would quarantine the plant either way. Sorry I can’t be of more help :( do a google of thrips and see if it matches!

      I agree with PlantHopeful, they look like thrips. The sexy plant juice spray will help but definitely quarantine and monitor the plant for discoloration and drooping.

      If they are thrips, I’d like to give a plug for beneficial insects! I had thrips last year 😭 and the beneficials took care of them. Highly recommend!

    Quarantine and maybe add a systemic granule like bonide if it’s available in your area.

    Thrips 🙁 I have them really bad too. They are slow killers though so you have time. Treat all of your plants with alcohol. I will take a spray bottle, fill it with isopropyl acohol, spray all of it down (stems, leaves, under leaves, crevices, soil) literally everything, then another spray bottle and spray it all down with water again (with dilute and wash off the alcohol). This will kill and babies and adults, but not the eggs. So you have to do this once every 2-3 weeks to keep the bugs at bay. (although best once a week I guess, I just don't have time or motivation haha). I've heard that buying predatory mites for thrips is a really God solution too, especially if you have a lot of leafy plants (like trailing ones). They're expensive but worth it I would say 🤷‍♀️

    If there are many bugs on a leaf, they usually aren't the good ones 😭
