Lost cause? I reckon I missed a watering on my relatively new Calathea rosy and it’s freaked out. I’ve trimmed back some of the dying leaves to allow all energy to go to the one trying to come out of the centre stem and currently have it in a makeshift tupperware greenhouse to try and increase humidity. Swapped the soil from the nursery and checked the roots, they were darker than I thought but strong and not mushy, so I don’t think it’s been rot. Any advice is greatly appreciated. It’s been like this for ten days.

Curled up leaves on calatheas usually mean underwatering/lack of humidity. Do you have a humidifier?

Also, I definitely don’t think lost cause. What type of water do you use for watering?

I do have a humidifier which it’s been getting bursts of occasionally and I’ve only watered twice since purchasing, one with tap and the other with water collected from a dehumidifier in the other room.

What does this look like now? Did you manage to revive her?

No such luck, but the roots still look decent so I’m still determined.
