Hi everyone! I’ve had my monstera for a while now, the leaf are getting bigger, my question now is should I cut off the older yellowish leaves

    Absolutely! The smaller leaves take up a lot of energy so cutting them off will promote bigger leaves! Here's mine after just one year and she looked exactly like yours 🪴

    Is that multiple plants in one pot? Ive never seen a monstera grow like that. The crowding may be whats causing the yellowing, if so. If you do go digging in the pots, buy some leca or large perlite to add to the soil. When my plants yellow, its usually because the roots arent getting enough oxygen.

      The *now* solution is to prune the yellow leaves because they arent gonna turn green again. But the thing is, thats gonna make the roots situation worse, cuz when the plants not growing leaves, its growing its roots. in the long run youre gonna have to seperate them eventually. I mean the good news is that you get to keep at least one of them in the pretty pot for longer?

      The thing is that I transferred them maybe like three months ago and the size of the root ball compared to the pot was pretty big for that it. I did it, hoping not to have to repot so soon.

    let them fully discolor and begin crisping before you remove them. not pretty, but if there's still green the leaf is still doing something.
