I found this fiddle leaf fig on the side of the road. It has 3 stems and each only has 2 leaves. I repotted it and the roots look great, I also cut off the brown parts of some of the leaves and I made sure to not cut too close. Any tips for getting it to grow new leaves and even care tips for my new plant?

While I don’t have a fiddle leaf fig, I had been interested in getting one. If I remember correctly, they absolutely hate drafts and will drop leaves if they are in a drafty location. To me that makes an outdoor balcony where there is the possibility of wind not seem like an ideal place for it. I’m not sure what it is about drafts that make fiddle leaf figs suffer so much as I haven’t gone that in depth to my research, so maybe if you live in a very warm/tropical location it’ll be fine, but I’d definitely move the plant inside unless you do some in depth research that tells you otherwise. Honestly, a lot of people apparently struggle with these guys so it might be good to do a bunch of googling anyway

I would try chopping down some of the branches or even getting rid of the leaves on the top of those branches by cutting further down. Chop those 2 first. It’ll promote tons of buds to pop underneath where you cut. This plant needs a fresh start!
