I’m very new to plants and got this one yesterday from Lowe’s. The leaves have some problem spots that i’m not really sure what to do to help. Are they to the point where I should cut or trim them? When I got it the soil was really dry so I gave it some water. I’m just a-little unsure about everything at the moment and wanna give it the best chance to survive :) If anyone could help with any tips that would be amazing !!

Honestly looks like it's just been through wars lack of water is better than rot so it should bounce back cut unhappy leaves off after a week or so they look alright for now just a bit unaesthetic for the time being. Also idk how big this is but check it isn't root bound and there's no hidden mesh or sponges in the soil oh also pests. Because you got it from a store they can come with them

This is a birds nest fern! The leaves dont look damaged due to pests which is a great thing, but I would leave it alone and not worry about it. I also got mine from Lowe’s not long ago and did the same as you, it was almost completely dry. If the leaf begins to yellow id trim it back to the bulb.
