I noticed this weird spot on my Dieffenbachia’s new leaf is this anything to worry about? I water it once a week mist it with sugar water every three days and fertilize every three months

    What does misting with sugar water do? Ive never heard of it before, but could it be causing some type of fungal growth on the leaves?

    i would try not to water on a schedule, check the soil all the way to the bottom before watering again. I fertilize my dieffenbachia with every watering (very diluted) I would ixnay the sugar water. It can actually dehydrate the leaves and it will most likely attract bugs. The sugar will leave a coating that interferes with the stomata and the leaves gas exchange. If you want to clean the leaves I’d use a microfiber cloth and water.
