I need help yall. This is my new peace Lily and it looks sad. I was told they are somewhat easy and don’t need to be kept in too much light. I have it next to the window and during the day it gets decent light. I have watered it twice but very sparingly over the past two weeks. Any recommendations??
Hi there, fellow BB :) Are the sun’s rays hitting your plant’s leaves? It looks like some of the leaves appear to have sunburn. Unless you’re supplementing with grow lights, I try to place peace lily plants at a window through which they can see sky all day but won’t get any direct sun rays except if it’s in the morning (eg before 10am). As for watering, I do the following: 1) stick my finger gently into the soil as deep as it will go. Does it feel moist or wet (eg cold to the touch, stuck to your finger when you remove it from your soil). If yes, wait 2 days and check again. Otherwise: 2) it’s time to water - take the inner pot out of the outer pot and bring it to the sink/ bathtub/ outside. Water the plant really well. For your plant here, that could easily be a litre/quart. Giving a decent amount in one go isn’t an issue if you’re checking the soil in between waterings to make sure you’re not watering too frequently. Let all the water drip out of the drainage holes in your inner pot before returning it back to the outer pot. You could also use a moisture meter but I personally find the finger method more accurate. Best of luck with your baby! 🌿🌿🌿
0개 좋아요I dont know if anyone else can relate buuuuut my lily girl is a DRAMA QUEEN when it comes to needing water. When she needs a drink she will droop bad.. and when she gets her drink she perks up within a couple hours. 😅🤭🫶🏽❤️🥰🌱🌿
4개 좋아요I would say make sure your plant isn’t right where there is a draft. Like AC/Heater. And definitely second BB’s advice above aswell!

I usually let mine get slightly droopy and then bottom water it and it soaks it alllll up and perks up the next day
