What do you do when you get a light and mild mold on the very top of your soil? I noticed it when I went to check if it needed water and noticed this slightly snowy looking sorta dusting. I didn’t take a picture. Grace (her name) looks a tad droopy but not bad.

    That might be flowerpot parasol mycellium. If that's the case, it's a harmless mushroom that will bloom. You can pick the mushroom part if you want to remove it (aside from aesthetics, the main reason to remove it would be if you have pets or curious children; these mushrooms are harmless to plants but can cause stomach upset if eaten)

      It does not. It kind of looked like someone soared a very very fine dusting of powdered sugar on it.

    Mold needs moisture to grow. With an obtusifolia you shouldn’t have that issue. The soil needs to be well draining and totally dry between waterings.

      Thank you. It’s been a bit cloudy all week and so the soil never properly dried up like it normally does.

    So you water or with softened water? Could be salt
