What’s going on with my bambino? I got her from a plant store in June and she’s been doing great up to now. Planta diagnosed this as a watering imbalance, which might be the case but I’m interested in what others think. My girl recently sprouted a new leaf but I noticed the ends of her leaves were browning. There is also a weird spider web substance under one of the leaves. I snooze the Planta watering schedule because the soil is often still wet. She’s under a grow light if that helps. Thanks for any input!

They’re Mealybugs ): Isolate the plant, and any others that have similar symptoms. You can spray the plant with insecticide, I have Sevin insect killer which worked for other pests for me. I would also use a q-tip soaked in alcohol and spot treat where you see the bugs (the white powdery things). The alcohol will literally dissolve them. Good luck!

I also take the plant into the shower and spray it to knock all the bugs off

Definitely scale bugs. But if there is webbing, keep an eye out for spider mites too. I'd shower off and use a pesticide spray. And treat any plant that was near it the same.

Thanks everyone! The plants are sequestered and will be monitored and treated for pests.
