When i water my plants a bunch of tiny black bugs come crawling out, you can only see them after a watering and they eventually all disappear again. Does anyone know what these could be?? also all of my plants seem to be growing normally with no marks

Maybe beginning stages of fungus gnats? I had something similar and ended up having fungus gnats 2 weeks later. Did you recently repot any of your plants?

I haven’t repotted any, but ok thats good to know. I just don’t want them to be thrips haha

I hope not either! I heard a thin layer of cinnamon on top layer of soil could help with that.

I water with peroxide. 4 parts water 1 part peroxide. I ran out of peroxide and forgot to buy more, so I watered without for several days and started seeing more fungal gnats in my house. I’m back to using peroxide as I got more. In a few days the gnats will be gone.

^ This and also having a cup nearby with water/hydrogen peroxide with a little dish soap, honey around the edges and coat the wet inside wall with a tiny bit of sugar. Ik it sounds like a lot but I caught SO many fungus gnats with it

sounds like gnats... the flouride in tap water drives them away. it's not enough to keep them out though. water with peroxide diluted in a 4:1 ratio

Not sure how tiny you're talking, but earwigs would behave in the way you described. They like moist areas but will run from moving water. If they look like your bugs, the easiest way to remove them is to physically shake out any obvious ones, then raise the pot on pot feet (removes a hiding spot under the pot), remove any dead leaf material in the soil, and make sure things drain and dry well in between watering sessions. Adding a fan can also help
