Ezzeldin YaqoubIt is just excreting excess minerals, which means you should use distilled or rainwater, not tap water due to the high mineral content.

I've been using filtered water to water, would this still happen?

KadesFiltered water still has “normal healthy” minerals but few to no impurities. Distilled is stripped of all impurities and minerals

allieI agree, it doesn’t look like the white film left behind from minerals, it looks like little bugs

LindseyThis has happened to my plants too i was never sure the cause and the planta dr. Kept trying to diagnose other problems

The leave has white stuff on it. Check the leaf crevices for sticky white stuff and it could be mealy bugs. If it’s just the soil it could be a yellow fungus/mold that starts as little fuzzy egg looking specks and usually from over watering.

If it’s mealy bugs it will require a good mix of insecticidal soap mixed with rubbing alcohol and a repot
