On today’s episode of white powder that I am genuinely scared about: What is that white powder on the tips of my zz plant shoots and should I be scared of them🌚

    Could be powdery mildew but I can’t say for sure. You can wipe the leaves and clean them, or use a diluted fungicide solution Honestly I think it’s fine, considering it has new growth. I never worry about this with my ZZ. I kinda just leave her alone and she grows like a weed lol they love being neglected lolol

      I think at this point she’s been borderline abandoned lol, haven’t watered her since early December so I’d assume she’s doing alright if she’s got new growth :) thanks!

      So, I have 2 ZZ plants and blame it on adhd, or graduate school idk, but I completely forgot about one of them for ~a year, probably more since it was on top of my bookcase. Completely out of my sight. This ZZ had new growth when I finally remembered about it lmaooo Last summer, I had them outside and they got sunburnt. Again, with graduate school being so demanding, I didn’t have a lot of time. I put them under my outdoor bar for shade, forgot about them (again🥴) for ~3 months, and again, they had new growth and came back lol They love neglect lol if I were a houseplant, I’d be a ZZ plant😭

    Id spray the plant down with 1:3 peroxide dilution. Every 3 days for 3x

    It could be sap if it’s chalky or crystalline.
