    The dark spots could be sunburn if the plant was exposed to direct sunlight in a car or in the home. The black spots will turn brown and dry out. It could also be root rot from excess water on the roots. Let the soil almost completely dry between watering. Ensure there is good airflow around the plant to dry the soil faster. 🍀🪴

    If you just got it I’d say it’s due to the care at the store. It was probably overwatered and now you get the consequences unfortunately. Repot in a chunky mix. As long as your new growth looks healthy after a few more weeks it should be fine. Silica can also be added to boost cellular growth within the plant. Diatomaceous earth is a good source of silica plus it helps with pest control.

      What soil mix should I use??

      A store bought aroid mix would work or you can make your own with coco coir, orchid bark, perlite, maybe some horticultural charcoal and mycorrhizae… but again you can also buy premixed.
