plant people, help me out! i’ve had this red prayer plant for a couple of months now. i originally potted into a small 4” pot and decided it needed an upgrade after seeing some roots grow out the bottom. well, it looks quite upset with the repotting and has been curled up and floppy since then (about a week). idk what to do! soil is moist and i’ve been misting with water every few days. it’s just very unhappy and i really don’t want this one to die… any tips are appreciated ):

i have your plants cousin and she is a drammmmaaaaa queen. they really don’t like change. It’s most likely transplant shock. Just make sure the plant is getting bright indirect light and make sure that pot has good drainage. your plant looks a little thirsty but it is probably a combination of the shock too. don’t fertilize for a couple weeks and make sure it has humidity. My plant isn’t the healthiest either so we are in this together. they are not beginner plants by any means.

Hi!! In the future I’d highly recommend against repotting in the winter- it’s a great way to lose plants and crush your ego (own the tshirt). I’d stop misting all together, it really doesn’t do much for our plants. If you’re wanting extra humidity, add plate or bowl with rocks near it instead. Let the top dry out before watering. If you have it near a window I’d suggest taking further away if you’re in cold climate territory. Bottom watering on a schedule would be your best bet, IMO. As another posted, these babies are dramatic. Good luck, friend, I hope Lucy makes it!
