Sounds like you might have some overwatering/root rot issues going on. If the store you bought it from was overwatering it, that would explain why it declined so quickly. If you can include a clearer close up photo of the leaves, it might be easier to assess. I’d take it out of the pot and see what’s going on with the roots. If you go that route: When you take it out of the pot, make sure you lay it on its side first and pull it out that way rather than pulling it straight up. If it doesn’t come out easily, gently push on the sides of the pot and maybe even soak it in some water for 20 minutes to get it out easier. Then remove as much of the old soil and substrate as you can, but you don’t have to get it all- the goal is to be able to see the roots and remove any substrate that’s too moisture retentive. Prune away any roots that look dead, mushy, or rotten with clean scissors. Even if you lose a lot of roots, this will be best for the plant in the long run. Spray the roots thoroughly with 3% hydrogen peroxide or soak them for 5-10 minutes in a mixture of 1 part 3% hydrogen peroxide to 2-3 parts water. When you go to repot it, make sure you use a super chunky, well-draining mix (for example, a mixture of equal parts potting soil, perlite, and orchid bark) and that you put it in a planter with drainage that’s only 1-2 inches bigger than the size of the root ball. After that, make sure to only water when 75% of the soil is dry (you can check by sticking a chopstick into the soil and seeing if it comes out clean). I’d put it right by an east facing window for now if you have one. A south or west facing window will also work, but you may want to add a sheer curtain so the direct sunlight doesn’t scorch its leaves. Fiddle leaf figs can actually handle full direct sunlight but you need to work them up to it. It may continue to drop leaves over the next few weeks as it recovers and adjusts- that’s to be expected. These are finicky plants; good luck!

Hi! I did some research and it is because when I bought the plant it was below zero so when I brought it to my car and in my house the plant got shocked.
