I think the roots are rotting. I gave it too much water without knowing I wasn’t suppose to, and there’s a lot of little fruit fly looking bugs around it. The leaves have been falling and it was drooping. My mom kinda buried it in the soil so it wouldn’t droop anymore. Can I fix it? What should I do?

i hate fungus gnats at the moment they are my worst enemy. it’s okay tho don’t give up this little guy will be fine i think if you allow the soil to dry out and let it to dry completely before watering again it should help. i’ve struggled with succulents so i may not be the best advice to listen to but i’ve always bottom watered mine for about 15 mins and barely look at them for a couple weeks before i make sure the soil is completely dry. if it doesn’t work maybe try changing the soil out and check the roots to see if they have rotted. i have faith it’ll be ok!!!

Your best bet would be to restart the plant from cuttings; root rot spreads quickly and temds to kill succulents even if you try to treat it. If you want to try to save the root portion, treat the soil with hydrogen peroxide every 2 or 3 days

If you do decide to try to repot it make sure you are using a cactus or succulent mix. Regular potting soil is too rich and holds water too well for succulents.
