Can Watermelon Peperomia be grown from a stem? This stem has just been growing and now the leaf looks damaged, it has roots though

    With watermelon peps because each leaf has its own stem, this method does not work very well. In the past I grew plants by cutting across the leaf and then placing the cut end into the soil. I think it took a long time though for plants to develop. Probably a couple months. I’m sure yo can research it to find out for sure.

      Peps can be difficult. In the past, I would usually do divisions. I had a Frost that I was dividing a couple times a year. I currently have some stem cuttings in water from my pep Hope. They are growing roots but it has been slow. Probably about a month so far. I decided to give it a go because I trim the Hope regularly and it’s a beautiful plant, so I want another.

    yes, but they take significantly longer. they must develop a new growth point before actually putting out new leaves, which takes a long time- if you're REALLY unlucky, some of them take up to a year before you see another leaf. i doubt it'll be that long for this one but just so you know.
