Found this poor baby dying in one of my classes today, and my instructor allowed me to adopt / rescue it. I have no idea what kind plant this is based on the state it’s in. I’m probably asking for a lot but could anyone possibly identify what type of plant this is? My instructor said it was some type of succulent but has no idea the name of it. I don’t even know if it’s possible to save it at the current state it’s in or if I should cut it and hope it will regrow into something better. What is y’all’s advice for saving this little guy?

i would maybe start with just watering it. it looks wrinkly and dehydrated, and maybe a little sunburnt. though after watering if it starts to rot, im guessing its a goner. i hope others with more confidence can lend a hand :) good luck!

From what I noticed, the poor thing hadn’t seen the light of day since my instructor got it. I will water it for now and keep it under a grow light to see where it goes. Hopefully it lives but we shall see. I appreciate the advice!

I agree with water and light, and once it gets stronger, you can try moving it to a slightly bigger pot, as it's probably also rootbound if that's still its original pot.
