any insight as to why my bird of paradise leaves are curled? i moved her to a brighter location with humidity and she started to grow a new sprout as you can see, but her leaves are yellowed on the edges and curled. her roots (white, thick and solid) are also starting to poke out from the drainage holes making me think I should replant? researching online was a little too broad any help would be appreciated!

I would say yes to repotting, unless it is just the angle of the camera, this pot looks way too small. Plop into some new soil. Best of luck friend!

Birds of paradise like to be slightly root bound however I do recommend going up a pot size or two but these plants tend to be happier slightly root bound!!
