🚨EMERGENZZ🚨Got this beauty for Valentines Day from my partner. In the last 2 wks or so I’ve noticed a few tips browning and some other spots; I REALLY want to nip this situation in the bud — whatever it is — before it gets worse. She was THRIVING when I got her (last pic). Lives in a north facing floor to ceiling breezeway window. Bright but definitely indirect light. Have not repotted since brining her home. Have only watered two times since February. Have not fertilized since it came with the little green pellets in the soil. Any thoughts on course correction? Zendaya thx you in advance 🪴

    Is this a ZZ plant? If so, put her in bright indirect light and let her dry out before You water again!

      Only watered twice since Feb. Aware of overwatering issues with ZZs so was super conscious not too

    Don’t fertilize. Literally only water once a month. Here’s my girl I’ve had for 4 years and just now split her because of 6 rhizomes. It’s a very slowww plant!

    The blotchy spots look like it could be something fungal. The yellowing of the tips looks like it could be over watered. Try spraying with neem oil (diluted in water). Also only water once a month and wait till completely dry until watered again.

    Have you repotted the plant since you got it? The soil looks like box store soil, which can be deadly for plants in the long run. I’d recommend repotting with a good soil MIX - not just indoor plant soil. A good repot and fresh watering plus indirect light should really help. The brown leaves indicate a nutrient or soil problem usually

      Got her at a very nice plant and garden center so not big box but have not repotted (since I’ve heard not to immediately after bringing home since they are already stressed from new conditions. If 2 months is enough then absolutely will. What do you think? I never use straight potting mix; what kind of substrate do ZZs prefer?
