I switched it to a bigger vase considering the roots were smushed. However it’s still in the same location

Hydroponic plants still have the same nutrition requirements. They just live in water. I’d recommend a liquid fertilizer. I have a hydroponic philodendron hybrid that I feed about twice a month during the growing season

Has it always been in water? I only ask because a couple months ago when I first moved one of my pothos wasn’t doing too well so I asked a group here if they could be water bound and was told no because of the possibility of root rot. But recently at Home Depot I got one that has been living in water and is thriving so far since I brought it home.

I ended up putting my bare vines in the soil of the one I had that was very bare she is thriving now. I saw that you planned on putting yours in soil. Mine is growing well again and not baring or yellowing. And I keep her honestly in the bathroom w no windows I put her outside in the sunroom for about 6 hours

I’m assuming you fertilize it regularly with liquid fertilizer. Then, it’s likely insufficient lighting based on the yellow leaves that are dropping, the larger gaps between the leaf nodes and the long leaf stems indicating the leaves are reaching for a light source. I recommend moving it to a location to get to 8 hours of bright indirect sunlight or add a grow light first 12 hours a day in the warmer months. I would trim off the bare vines once more light is added. The new growth will look healthier, less etiolated. You can propagate the cuttings. 🍀🪴

It’s been placed under a glow light 8hrs a day I guess I can increase it to 12.

The additional time under a light should help. Try moving the long vines closer to the light so they can help more with photosynthesis.

I’m going to switch it over to soil and add Propagation Promoter 🤞

it may just be a transition. sometimes old leaves yellow and die off so the plant can exert energy elsewhere. if the leaves are newer, i’d be concerned. otherwise, happy growing. these are resilient plants

Yes it’s only the older leaves. I thought maybe that could be it but wasn’t sure. Thanks 💚
