Hey all, My monstera has been having droopy leaves for a while now yet still gives new leaves. Just looking for some help. It’s in a part sun—>sun environment but was previously in a part sun—>pretty shady environment. (Side note it’s not just a daily thing such as it hasn’t been watered yet.)

i know a lot of people have different experiences and opinions on this so i hope others chime in! but in my experience terra cotta/clay pots that are unglazed don’t work well for tropical plants like monsteras :( there’s different articles that mention the clay pot sucks the water out of the soil too quickly for the plant to get enough, so plants appear and stay droopy sometimes. i had this happen to a young sequoia sapling and the roots that were touching the inside of the clay pot were getting dried out and dying! once i transplanted it, the tree started growing more and stopped drooping and losing leaves do you have a big plastic or glazed ceramic pot you can transplant it into?

Just came back from a trip and saw this… But yes! I have transferred my plant into a larger plastic pot and hopefully I will get better results. Thanks for the info + advice!!
