New to caring for plants what could be wrong with this plant? Did I water too much or does it need to be repotted?

    Could be a case of overwatering. Can you provide an overall pic of the plant?

      Cut it off and if more leaves overall start turning yellow it’s from watering. The plant looks good so it could be the place it’s in, so humidity and light would most likely be the culprit

    Have you owned this less than a week? It maybe getting used to your environment. I would not cut a new leaf that’s just opening. Give it a few weeks to harden off. Definitely, let the soil dry before watering. Do not follow the Planta watering schedule without verifying the plant actually needs water. Give it sufficient indirect light, 8 hours daily, and monthly fertilizer. 🍀🪴
