My soil seems to be staying moist for longer than it should. I have to snooze my schedule more times than not. I bottom water my plants as well as top water. My plants seem healthy for the most part, but this can’t be good, right? Do I really need to wait for my water to drain when I top water? Seems like it’s a lot of water to me.

You are right to not water if the soil is still wet. No need to worry if the plant looks healthy. You need to take action if the plant is spotty or yellowing which can indicate root rot from excess water.

Are your details accurate as far as placement next to window, AC, etc? Maybe the app thinks it’s betting for direct light than it actually is? I had that once when I moved a plant’s rooms and forgot to update its location.

I do have the details right, but you could be on to something as far as the light, but then again, I have them under grow lights for the most part, LED on 50%, but I will monitor that part as well! Thank you!!!!!

Good luck! Also, had another thought… can the app access your phone data to see weather where you live? Like, do you get alerts like “today is going to be hot”? App can also adjust based on local weather so maybe it’s not doing that?

It's not really about how much water they are getting. (I completely drench all of my plants in the sink) It's how OFTEN you are watering. Most plants need the soil to try before watering again 😊
