I was trying my luck with another ivy, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong 😭 my other plants are just fine but I tried to water it every other week or when the soil is dry bc that’s what Google said but it started wilting so I thought it needed more water so I tried more water/more sun, more water/indirect sun, then I tried less water/more sun, less water/indirect sun and anyways it’s just wilting and I just want to know if there’s any saving it or what to do??
Jess - this plant is notoriously difficult. You are probably not doing anything wrong. They die back regularly. Remove the dead growth and cut off healthy vines and propagate them in water and once there are about two inches of roots, put them back in the pot. It’s not you - it’s the plant! We all love them - I think yours is the lavender tradescantia. I have it too. I do not try to keep the miniature version of the plant though. They don’t propagate well. (They show up periodically at Trader Joe’s and I struggle to say no every time.)

This Callisia Repens Pink Panther should be the best friend of a prayer plant. Looks beautiful on arrival. Then, throws a tantrum before dramatically dying to make you feel guilty! Too low light and it wilts, then, dies. Too late with watering is an unforgivable sin. It dies even faster from the base out! Mine went into the graveyard within one season.

2개 좋아요 It was lovely while it lasted. The gold form is now a weed as pieces got into several pots via the wind and likely squirrels before the mother plant died. It’s now growing everywhere like crabgrass!

2개 좋아요I have the same problem. Honestly I’m kind of chalking it up to don’t let them get long and viny. She was so gorgeous and growing fast and long so I let her to her thing but now it seems as it’s too long and heavy the stems are getting stretched out causing them to thin and fall.
I’ve killed 2 of these. Completely sworn them off 🙄
