HELP! What on earth happened to my philodendron micans?? I brought it home 2 days ago and noticed some spots on the leaves. Today I decided to take a good look and almost all the leaves fell off with a light touch… 2nd photo is of the 2 leaves remaining, one old (spotted) and one new (red). Last photo show the spots on both sides of a fallen leaf. Is there any chance this plant will live? And wth is it!!🥲🥲

Looks like a sucking pest, maybe thrips. Pretty bad infestation considering the damage. It has a chance, you gotta go hard on the thrips in the soil and the adults. I'd repot it. Spray it down really well (foliage & roots) and tretreat with a pesticide. Check your nearby plants.

Thank you! Luckily this guy has been isolated from my other plants.

That's good. If it is thrips, they do fly, so you may wanna check everyone over just to make sure

I figured😅 I’ll be treating any plants in the vicinity just to be on the safe side.
