Hello! I've been trying to grow my basil but it looks like it's drooping. How often should I water it? Is this a sign of too much water or not enough? It's always on the window getting direct sunlight. Should I change the pot it's in? Might it be parasites/bacteria? I would like to know what might be wrong and how I can improve taking care of it I'm new to this thank you in advance!

With my plants (not sure about basil) droop and crispy leaves mean its thirsty! Try watering it really well and see if it perks up in a couple hours. Ive seen a pepper plant look like that before a good watering!

Same. It looks thirsty. Basil can be sensitive. I know the soil has to be good quality. They love black soil. Possibly it needs a fertilizer after it has been watered.

However, this app should tell you what is wrong with your basil. Good luck, I love basil and have always been challenged with it.

I would honestly do a decent trimming. Some of the shoots are already quite hard and brown at the bottom meaning they are decently old. Trimming above the top knots + repotting it to a larger pot will most likely result in some new healthy growth :)
