I’m new to monsteras and I decided “rescue” this Thai Constellation from Home Depot. She had some browning and was pretty droopy. She was definitely overwatered so I repotted to a better draining mix and a new pot and removed the dying leaves. I didn’t see any root rot but I’m new so maybe I missed it. For lighting, she’s been in a corner of a south facing room in Northern Nevada so should be good lighting I think but I have a grow light just in case for this plant corner too. Today it’s cloudy so I moved to the middle of the room to get her some extra rays in case that’s an issue. It’s been an about a week and still pretty droopy so I’m just looking for some thoughts on how long it usually takes to recover or if there’s something else I should be doing!!

    She needs humidity for sure that’s most likely one of the reasons why she is drooping if it keeps getting worse I would probably check the roots again but for now here is a little care list. Monstera Thai con (care ) Light - bright indirect Watering - twice a week if soil is mostly dry (very sensitive to overwatering) Soil - highly recommend repotting in a chunky soil mix Fertilizer- wait about a month or so before fertilizing but when you do use a light fertilizer for houseplants Humidity- needs to be 60-70% (highly recommend humidifier) Propagation - always propagate in areas with nodes , let dry out overnight and then place in water roots should start growing in a week or less. Leaf damage - brown spots are the most common check your plant’s roots for rot, if none seen it could be old damage ( a more common color for old damage is a dry brown color that isn’t soft to the touch) variegated parts will spread the brown color across the area and naturally fall off.

      Thank you for the help! The humidity is around 40-45% right now but I already planned to get a humidifier since I’ve added a few other high humidity plants to this corner so hopefully that will help. How long do you think I should wait to see improvement? I tend to be impatient so want to make sure I set my expectations appropriately 😁

      Thai cons are pretty dramatic so it may take a while before she perks up but she already looks better!
