My gladiolus don’t change, they don’t grow flowers, I don’t know what’s happening or is this just the way it is🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

    They need 6-8 hours of direct sun to flower. Probably not bright enough

      I have them on the balcony and when the sun comes out that’s when they receive it.

    More light for sure. Also your soil looks dry. Not sure if you're just in between waterings or if you could afford to water more often

      When I pour water on it, it comes out quickly and the soil dries immediately and those little colored ball are fertilizer that I put on them, I have nowhere else to put it,

    They need full sun, good drainage, warm temperatures, water and fertilizer. They need a south or west exposure or a grow light running at least 12 hours per day. 🪴🍀

      When the sun comes out that’s when they receive it, and put them fertilizer and water it comes out quickly and the soil dries immediately, I have them on the balcony, I have nowhere else to put it.

      Morning is east light. Track how many hours of direct sunlight it gets. You might get 8 hours of direct sun if it’s facing south east. Try bottom watering by putting the pot in a container of water until the top of the soil is moist. This indicates mist of the soil is fully soaked. This will water the clay pot to prevent the pot from pulling too much water from the soil. You can also add vermiculite to the soil to act like mini sponges. Vermiculite holds moisture. 🪴🍀

      Vermiculite is a natural mineral that holds water. It’s used to amend the soil like perlite. Google it.

    Mine are blooming, a month after planting, and they were a Dollar Tree purchase. I’d say keep the soil moist-wet, never dry. If you want to see how thirsty they truly* are, fill a large bowl with water & set your pot inside. The flowers will likely drink/absorb all the water. You can also sprinkle on turmeric or cinnamon to encourage root growth. And a slightly longer planter couldn’t hurt!

    I planted several bulbs very early summer. that grew tall quickly. Only one grew a “bloom stem “ and it was heavy and laying down in the flower bed so I used some old thin metal curtain rods and loosely tied twine or long twist ties loosely. no other plant grew the stem that flowers. they are very tall. 1. why no blooms on 4/5? Do I cut them back before winter? Please advise!
