Gifted a Thai constellation and was told it was watered three days ago. Can anyone help me figure out what I’m doing wrong? It’s wilting and has soft brown spots as shown.

Have you checked the roots at all yet? I’d start there as they can be prone to root rot

I will check them now. What should I look for!

look for brown, mushy, smelly roots. cut off any rot you find, and if you have it, spray the roots with a 1:1 mix of water and hydrogen peroxide. to help prevent rot in the future, repot with a good chunky soil mix (1:1 of indoor soil and an amendment, like perlite), and a pot no bigger than 1-2 inches bigger than the root ball. water when at least halfway dry; you can check with a wooden skewer! push it all the way down into the pot, and then leave it there for a minute or so. any crumbs of soil left on the stick indicate wet soil. hope this helps, good luck!
