I’ve recently noticed that some leaves on my syngoniums are a little sticky in some places. I have recently started using a humidifier for four hours a day and these plants get the most moisture. I don’t see any unusual spots that are reminiscent of pests. What might it be? How can I help them?

It’s releasing excess water through the leaves. Might want to move further away from humidifier. And just fyi: I love syngoniums and have many. It’s the one type of plant I can pretty much put wherever I want and it thrives. While I have room humidifiers, the humidity never gets above 40%. In Ohio. And they still thrive in that.

Looks like the humidity is too high for it. This can block the plant from releasing its own water vapors through plant transpiration. So, the plant has edema as Debbie described above. I also recommend moving the plant or running the humidifier less. 🪴🍀

Too much water boo boo. I only mist mine for a few seconds every few days.
