I’m having trouble with my monstera. I’m following what it’s saying in the app, but leaves are turning brown. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I suggest only using Planta as a reminder to water. Check the soil to make sure she actually needs a drink. I usually stick my index finger into the soil. If it’s dry, I water. If still moist, I wait a few days. I had a BOP that i rescued that had similar brown spots on its leaves. It wasn’t getting enough light and was staying too damp. Once the lighting situation was remedied, the spots stopped. How much light is it getting? Monsteras are sold as low light, but in my experience they prefer a lot of light. Good luck!

I mostly agree with Hba’s advice, but I prefer to use a wooden skewer to check if it needs water. If it comes out of the soil clean and dry, that’s usually a sign it needs water.
