Does this look like an overwatering issue to folks? It’s such a small spike, I can’t tell if it’s squishy or shriveled!

How long have you had the little guy?

About a month? Did water it a couple days ago, but didn’t saturate him… still may have been too much?

Hmmm, yeah I’d wait a little longer, water him no more than once a month, I’d do it every other, maybe get a smaller drainage pot for him and a more chunkier soil, I used bonsai jacks cactus succulent mix off of amazon, works like a charm

It looks like overwatering to me because of where the yellow looks the “worst”. If it was green more towards the bottom and yellow at the top I would assume under watering.

it could be overwatering, it could also be a normal bottom leaf dying off. i would keep it dry for the next little while + remove this one and go from there!

Succulents will use bottom leaves to survive if they are too dry. They then turn yellow or brown, shrivel and dry up. The plant is healthy. When was it last watered?

      It’s a Haworthia Fasciata Concolor

If you use a wooden skewer to check for soil residue it is a great indicator whether it needs it or not. If planta says water and there is residue just snooze. I have a ton of these guys and they do lose the odd bottom leaf. They are pretty hardy too. Your little guy is a very lovely green. 🥰

Yeah same thing happened to my tiger aloe, I had it for two years and probably only watered it maybe three times, two bottom leaves shriveled up just like that, so I repotted it in a bonsai substrate and water it about once every other month and it’s thriving and being its whacky self lol.

I’d take off the sad little guy and see how it goes! The rest looks great
