I’m a new plant mom but I would definitely cut that dead leaf off it’s not coming back…and the other damaged one as well😬 maybe check the roots and see what’s going on a repot may be your solution…are you watering enough? It could be light related as well maybe too much or not enough…?
0 likesHmmmm… what kind of soil is your plant potted in? It looks kind of strange…
2 likesI was just gonna ask. Is that sand?
1 likeIt would be good to get some history for this plant, like how long you’ve had it, when did the problem start, have you checked for pests and fungus? Any kind of history will be helpful to other members that read this post. Good luck!
2 likesSo I keep mine in smallish pots in comparison to size. They go in an amended Foxfarm soil mix. Fertilized/watered every 12-14 days. Misted daily. They like bright light, south window or a 5000lux + light.
1 likeThe plant is in plastic container with potting soil and top coat of sand. I started using sand as top layer to avoid gyants. The plant is 6 months old.

0 likesMy first impression is the pot is too big. This could contribute to both an overwatering or under watering condition. Overwatering can happen if you fully saturate the soil and the plant can’t use up the water before the roots start to rot. The thick sand on top could be slowing the evaporation process further extending an overwatering problem. Under watering can occur when the soil is not fully watered. Watering only around the plant could cause the dry areas to wick away the moisture around the plant. I don’t know which condition applies to your plant. I recommend verifying the soil is at about half dry before watering. The leaves will look limp if the plant needs water. Give it 12 hours of full sunlight in a south facing window, if possible. Wolfen’s recommendations are great. Bananas need a lot of light.
0 likesSo here's my aray of bananas. (Ignore the one with neem oil burn 😢😭) you can see the pots are pretty small in comparison to yours.
