Shes already changed the water since these images last night but any tips to help it live would be appreciated. Thank you!!

If any of the roots are mushy cut them off then spray the good roots with 1:1 water and 3% hydrogen peroxide. I would probably cut off the leaves that look really bad. Good idea to wash out the container super well too!

If it’s rotted it may take it a few times cutting the roots back. I try to cut at least a 1/4-1/2 above the rot (depending on how long the roots are). it may take while to bounce back but bamboo is pretty resilient!

This plant is actually a Draecena in spite of being called a lucky bamboo. The water should be refreshed once or twice a week. I'm not sure how this will work with the lucky bamboo but I saw a video about orchids. You soak two tablespoons of white rice and two cloves of garlic chopped up skins and all and soak them in a quart of distilled water for 20 or 30 minutes. You can soak the roots of the lucky bamboo in this mixture and then put it back in its container. The garlic Acts as a natural fungicide, and the rice I think is a very mild fertilizer. I'll try and find where I saw this and put the link down for you to watch.

Do a search for "just garlic" by happiness garden. There are several interesting videos there and maybe some of the techniques would work with your lucky bamboo. There is also another site called "Chi toi cay" actually I don't know what it's called since I don't understand that language but if you Google those words it should come up. You'll see three stems with garlic at the bottom. I know that sounds a little weird but I really enjoyed learning his techniques. You can turn on subtitles.
