I'm not sure of the culprit, but it's likely something much bigger than any pest insect. Much of the damage is mechanical (could be caused by careless use of a trimmer?) and the curved cut out might be a bite mark (no idea what kind of animal, but the cut would match its mouth.)

Squirrels and rodents will chew on orchid leaves. Do they have access to your plants?

Yes, there are squirrels in my yard (& I was afraid that is the answer) 😞 🤬🐿️ (I know that’s a chipmunk, closest emoji to squirrel I have)
