I just potted my golden pothos, it was in a little cup with water for many months. Its been almost a week and the base leaf id starting to weaken and turn yellow (not the regular golden part) anyone know what i could have done wrong?

That soil looks really dry. I’ve learned after propping you have to keep the soil consistently moist after transferring from water to soil. You’ll water more than you typically would that type of plant, and once the plant adjusts to soil and becomes stronger you can move towards watering on a typical schedule.

0 likesI’ve seen many people on this app transferring their props to a perlite base before soil or other bases before soil to help them adjust better to the change; me personally I am lazy lol, I just hope for the best and keep moist soil
1 likeI was considering doing that maybe ill do it next time if this one doesn’t survive but I too am lazy
1 likeIt could also be because the leaf is growing from below the dirt? I’ve noticed that happening on my pothos too, usually all the leaves above the soil stay alive
1 likeLooks really dry. But I noticed you said you watered it right after the pic. I think you need to keep the soil moist, not soggy.
