Hey guys. My Baby Rubber Peperomia plant has not been doing so well and has been losing lots of leaves. During the summer it was very healthy and thriving but now it is extremely skinny and sickly. I have had it for about a year and a half. How can I fix it? Dr. Planta says it is lack of light but I wonder if it has to do with the fact that it is winter. The only problem with this however is that last winter, it didn’t have this problem; or at least now to this extent. I don’t have a picture yet but I will upload one as soon as I can. Thanks! 🫠

Low light was my first thot. Could also be too much water. They can store water in their leaves, kinda like succulents. Make sure it dries out before you water it again.

Yes that a very good idea. There are def other things it could be too, those are just the two that are pry the most likely. Always a good idea to get as many opinions as possible😉.

I am following for information. I just lost my 4-yr old pepper that was thriving 😓. It just started to get black stems one by one until all were gone. Someone suggested it got too cold in the window but it had been through 4 winters in the same location. No recent changes. Just wondering what went wrong. Truly frustrating!

That happened to mine too. I cut the stems just above the black part of the stems, removed the black stems and repotted the stem in a new pot. Four months later, it's starting to grow back and thriving.
