I need help figuring out what’s wrong with my aloe, my other one right next to its thriving but this one’s turning a grey color and thinning with very little growth. I barely water her and the ai says it’s over watering

    That's rot and can only be caused by water unfortunately. They are really easy to overwater. They aren't the fastest drinkers, either. So their soil can stay wet for very long periods of time. That planter is also a bit big for how little she is. Everything stays wetter longer if the plant doesn't fit the pot. These are just suggestions to the cause. You ofc will know best bc you know your habits. With rot, the whole leaf needs to go, even if only a portion of it is rotted. That leaf is basically coded to die atp. You could try a last ditch repot into dry soil. When you unpot you can check the roots and see if anything needs to be addressed. I am no genius. I just killed one a while back and I knew how I killed it 😭 I am sure ppl on here have posts abt their soil mixes <3 I would recc one but I am still figuring out my own

    If her root ball is too small for the pot, it's entirely possible you are overwatering. If you're barely watering her, does that mean the soil is staying wet for weeks? I'd recommend pulling her out of the pot and checking her roots. Put her in a pot that's about 1" bigger than her root ball; make sure to use a well draining soil mix.
