Hi! I had to transport my plants yesterday, so they were in the car for 2 hours before I got home. When I got home everything seems absolutely fine but I noticed a few hours later that two of the leaves on my monstera went to “mush.” Any guesses on what may have happened and/or suggestions on how to fix it (or are those two leaves goners)?

What kind of weather are you having? Looks a bit like cold damage

It’s QUITE cold outside. But I had the heat on in the car and it’s low 70s° in my house

Even a few mins in extreme cold can too damaging for tropical plants. 2 mins to the car isn’t much for us but for plants that can’t tolerate temps below 50 immediately suffer. I would cut off all the mushy leaves and stems. As long as the roots aren’t damaged she’ll bounce back

Even the move from house to putting them in the car could have exposed them too much. Trim the bad and hope the plant comes back ok. But from experience you may see more damage show up in the next couple days.
