Elephant bush keeps dropping leaves and a lot look rough. Anyone know what could be causing it? The ones that fall tend to be pretty “mushy”

You’re likely watering too frequently, are you letting the plant dry out completely between waterings?

0 likesAgreed. It looks like it’s currently in a pretty large pot for the size of the plant’s supposed root system. That might also be contributing. I’d recommend allowing it to completely dry out between waterings (waiting at least 18 days before watering, or more if necessary), and repotting it into a pot with no more than 1-2 inches wider in diameter than the width of the plant’s root ball. Hope this helps
0 likesI’d make sure it’s in a well draining pot with drainage holes on bottom, they like to be pretty dry
