Recently, when I water my pothos, the water comes out the drainage a bit brown. Is this something I need to be worried about?

It’s probably just the dirt coming along for a bit of a ride :). It shouldn’t be anything to worry about if your pothos are happy.
5 likesMineral buildup in the soil will cause the water to be brownish. Next time you water you can flush the soil by watering until it drains clear. (Pour water, let it drain, pour water, let it drain, etc.).
0 likesI would only flush a plant if you can predict with some certainty that it has too many nutrients/minerals. Maybe you over-fertilized it, or you didn't realize your water was too hard. If you flush excessively, you're draining the soil of all the nutrients that help your plant grow. Your plant would tell you if it's got too many nutrients or doesn't like your tap water (wilting, leaf burn, yellowing). You could predict too many nutrients after a full soil change/after adding fertilizer, or hard water around the time the plant first moves in and you've tried altering sun or water quantity with no success. I'm leaning towards Toastoool's "just dirt." If your plant looks happy, it probably is! 😁
