Can someone help me figure out what’s going on with this plant? The leaves won’t unfurl and now the stalk is discolored, I am not sure what to do. I know it’s a more difficult plant but I’m a new plant mom and I would like to keep it alive as it was a gift
There are so many reasons why this could be. Seeing as you did not give any details to what the environmental conditions are, it could be not enough light, water, or humidity Although the stalks do not look discolored to me
좋아요 1개I soaked it in water about 3 days ago for half an hour, and it gets bright indirect sunlight all day long (a whole wall of windows). My apt stays around 70-74 degrees.
0개 좋아요 What direction do the windows face? The humidity level is more helpful than the room temp. Since it’s a gift, I’m assuming it’s recently new to your environment? It could just still be adjusting. The newer leaves might be okay
좋아요 1개My windows face north/northwest. I will say since posting they have started to unfurl a little so I think you’re right about adjusting to my apartment
좋아요 1개Curling leaves are usually a humidity issue. You could try sitting it on top of a pebble tray if you don’t have a humidifier to add to its environment.
