Does anyone know why the new growth on this baby rubber would be browning? Is it just because it’s in a new environment and adjusting? The rest looks really healthy Also, to keep this variegated, should I be chopping off any leaves that come in with little to no variegation?

I personally wouldn’t remove any new leaves with less variegation. I’ve got two marbled peperomias myself and have found that they might start out pretty green but develop the variegation once they mature. And personally, in the worst case scenario that they do start to become less variegated, which I have yet to see happen with mine, I love how each leaf is very unique, and actually bought my second marbled peperomia so I could have one with more yellow in the leaves and one with more green and a little yellow speckling. I’m planning on combining them soon and really excited to see how it turns out, so please don’t sweat it if every leaf isn’t super variegated. Hope this helps!

This is my less variegated marble peperomia for reference as well. And I have yet to experience browning tips with new foliage on this plant, but have read that it could be a sign of a humidity problem, which could easily just be from the shock of getting used to a new home, especially if it’s been bought recently and gotten colder these past few months where you live. These plants do not like the cold weather and can develop edema with changes in the temp or humidity, so I’d avoid placing it in any spots near drafty windows or air vents while it’s getting used to its new home, as well as in the winter in general. Yours is really beautiful already, so I really hope it treats you as well as mine do cause they’re some of the most low maintenance plants I’ve ever had.

Add silica to your watering! It will help with variegation burn! :))) I have leaves that are entirely white and never have any issues anymore:))

lovethatleaf.com ... The ultimate care guide to variegated indoor plants (and how not to kill them) is an excellent reference. Variegation is caused for several reasons. Some are stable and some are not.
