Hi! I have a flamingo lily here that is set on dying. No matter what I do, she keeps yellow leaves. When I get her, she was basically dead so I cut off all of the dead leaves and such and tried water propagating to grow some of her roots back, but her leaves began to yellow and she seemed to do much better in soil, so this is where she has been since. I thought maybe it was overwatering, but I only water when the soil is almost dry. Any advice is appreciated! TIA!

How big is your pot? It may be better to bottom the water until it gets more established.

I’m about to take it out of its pot and look at its roots. I may have put it into a bigger pot than what it needed. And will keep the bottom watering in mind next time! Will keep you updated!

Good luck!! It’s always normal to lose a couple leaves when they’re bouncing back. :)

Thank you for watering tip. My lily is acting just like her lily!

When I took her out of her pot, I realized that she doesn’t actually have the roots to support herself. Do you think that could be the reason? Also, what should I do to help it grow more roots?

Definitely!! Are there any nodes for roots? You can pop it back in water. I’d wait 30 min- 1 hour for the plant tip to callus before putting it in water. Do you have rooting powder?
