I just took over taking care of this snake plant. I’ve been doing some research about why it is so droopy but I’m not sure if it’s because of overwatering or not enough sun? Any advice?

I would give it some sun and what type of snake plant is it because I have a cylinder snake plant

좋아요 1개I honestly don’t know but from looking at the different varieties on jomostudio.com I think mine looks most like the sansevieria fernwood mikado. It’s kind of cylindrical at the base but opens up more towards the tips

2개 좋아요That’s very helpful thank you! I just bought a grow light since my house doesn’t get a lot of sun so hopefully that will help too
0개 좋아요I had similar problem with my snake plants. But once learned how to mix my own soil for extra drainage they recovered really well. As long as your leaves is not getting mushy and withering then good soil and gradually expose to more sunlight should be fine. Typically I mix 50% citrus and cactus soil, 15% perlite, 15 % coconut coir, 10% orchid bark, and 10% moss.
