My mom is 65 and listens to NO BODY, but Jesus or the Holy Ghost… I asked her every day not to water the plants daily… she listens not! So my twins are or had root rot. I changed the soil and pot and trimmed the leaves. He base of each plant though is mushy ASF! Is there a way to save them or no?
I was always under the impression once it’s in the stem then it’s a gonna 😩

Only on plants that can’t regrow from stem cuttings. Just takes a lot more care and watchful attention to care for a chopped rot rescue

chop the stem. get rid of ALL of the mush. if you look in the stem, check for any discoloration. rot is spread by bacteria and if you miss any, rot is much more likely to return. (ignore my messy tub lol this was the process of me rescuing my adansonii... from myself) you have lots of good firm stem to work with, they can absolutely be saved. propagate what's still good. and keep them away from mom 😅

0개 좋아요 You can do a stem chopping on these yucca I believe. Anything already mushy is done for, it’s been infected with either bacteria or fungi (most often rhizoctonia) and the rot will just continue to spread. Cut that infection off (try and have an inch of space between your cutting and the rot) and allow the cut to callous over first. I’d use some rooting powder if you have some too
