I couldn’t get a picture of the little suckers, but it seems I have a few fungus gnats back. How do I make MOSQUITO TEA from mosquito dunks? Does that take care of the little buggers permanently? TIA. 😊💚🪴

Not sure about mosquito tea but peroxide and water mix to water the plant is helpful. So it diatomaceous earth and cinnamon but if you want to kill the larvae then peroxide is the way to go.
좋아요 1개What is your dilution rate for the hydrogen peroxide/water mix? TIA 😊💚🪴
0개 좋아요1 part peroxide to 4 parts water. 😊
좋아요 1개So, for a gallon of water, would you add 4 cups of peroxide??? That seems like such a lot! 😊💚🪴
0개 좋아요I do 4 cups water 1 cup peroxide. A lot of people use the 7% peroxide bottle to mix with water but mines 3%
0개 좋아요Yeah essentially because peroxide solution is already diluted you’re just further diluting it. But def make sure you aren’t above 7% unless you plant to dilute it more.
0개 좋아요I haven’t tried the dunk type, but I’d make sure you’re leaving the dunk in the water for a while (few hours?) and shaking it up before watering. Also, if you use hot water the way you would with real tea, you’ll kill the helpful orgs in the dunks/mosquito bits right off. Also, the tea won’t kill the adults - just larvae.
좋아요 1개TXS for your info! I have the dunks and may give it a try…😊💚🪴
0개 좋아요Agree!! For the larvae, I use a product called mosquito bits. 4 tbsp per gallon of water and soak for 30 minutes. Shake before using. Package recommends 3 treatments but I have needed to do a few more. I use sticky tape for the adults. Good luck!!
