Came back from a sudden 4-day visit to my parents and my phil. Gloriosom has this big brown and yellow spot. The diagnoses says overwatered but I haven't been here to water it. It's the second to youngest leaf and I've never seen anything like this - it doesn't start from the tip but some part along the edge. Any ideas?

Looks like overwatering or fungal growth which typically occurs with overwatering.

Since they said they weren’t home to water it, could it have been overwatered for a bit and is just now showing signs? Or maybe the lighting or fans being off caused it to not dry out as quickly?🤔

I traveled a lot for business many years ago. I used to water almost everything if I would be out of town for long periods, sometimes up to two weeks. I tried to top off plants that only needed a little water. I overwatered sometimes. I’m not sure if that’s what happened here.

Thank you but it's not overwatering. the roots are exposed (this plant is in a clear container and planted in moss) and I can see that they're perfectly healthy.
