Okay I need help. I had a lady throwing a lot of plants away and I’m new to few of them but this one in particular I’m struggling with. Can anyone help me please?

GeckoLooks like a Calathea, if so…plant in a chunky mix airy mix. Mine is in soil, medium bark chips from pet store & a bit of fern moss. Do not let dry out. Also likes a Lots of humidity. I have mine on a tray of pebbles and water. I also mist it daily. Low light. Also, NO tap water. Hates chlorine. I use drinking water from water cooler or have used chlorine/chloramine remover (it’s used for fish tanks)

InkedgirlCDefinitely a Calathea. They like diffused light and high humidity. Keep it moist but not waterlogged. Cut the wrinkled leaves off. If it’s kept happy it will come back.
